First of the HUGE set of weapons/clothing/character sketch work I'm doing for Legacy.

With all games having such a variety of weapons and armour, I really got to thinking that having some "Passable" detailed sketches on the weapons would work.

This is the Masamune, the greatest of all the weapons in FFVII. It belongs to Sephiroth and he is supposidly the only man who can use it effectively at all.

More info about the design process.
as any true fan of oriental weapons knows, The Masamune is a Nodachi(translation:field/large sword).
And the name Masamune is associated to Japanese history and the (arguably) greatest sword-master the world has ever known, Okazaki Masamune.

And in-case anyone is wondering why I've said I'll put the Shinra Logo on all VII weapons (bar one) the history of the Shinra program started out as a weapons manufacturer, this was before they became Shin-Ra Electric and discovered Mako.

I'm getting the finishing touches done on Squalls blade now. I'm toying with the idea of doing a slight 3-d look to the revolver chamber being out of the g-blade. Like with the pic, what do you think?

that sounds good, maybe a big sketch of the full balde, then a seperate small zoom of the revolver chamber (like the way you drew the swords handle in this one)
