The Story of Tifa Lockheart</i>
A glimpse into the Past, # 2.
By all accounts, she was a lucky girl. She had a father who was well off enough to give her anything she wanted, a mother who was loved by the whole town, almost the whole town who idolised her, with all this and probably more most people would think that made her spoilt, but she was an almost perfect girl-if she allowed a tiny bit of arrogance into her life every once in a while, she was usually a sweet, well mannered little girl.
Tifa Lockheart, daughter of Lena and Jack Lockheart was the talk of the town she lived in, a small place called Nibelheim. Everyone had always said that Tifas mother, Lena Dehernhee-a descendent of travellers who had settled in the town many years ago-was the most beautiful young woman to have lived in the town for a many sum of years. People talked about Tifa because she was the spitting image of her mother-if slightly different in the colour o

TWO YEARS LATER
The time was around ten, Zack was wandering around the Slums of Sector Five he had to find his friend. With the events of a year ago, well the pain of it all had changed him slightly. He was still the same man, but he had grown up somewhat since the whole affair around Genesis.
Thinking back, with Avalanche now in virtual ruin thanks to the Turks, Zack couldnt think it a more fitting punishment for what happened to Cloud.
He had found him just leaving the compound, his bag over his shoulder and a forlorn expression on his face, if the knowledge the Jerikson had been a member of Avalanche secretly planted in the program and had tricked Cloud into getting hi

Last Test/Lost Chance.
Cloud finally stopped his exercising; he had completed his final tests on examinations and had passed them. Now there was only one thing left and if he made it, hed be a SOLDIER.
Giddiness had entered him at first, but the growing feeling of fear had welled up in Cloud, hed soon either be out on the streets or a member of SOLDIER. Did he have what it took to get back home if he didnt make it?
No, he wouldnt go home. He couldnt, that letter from Tifa the letter from his mother, he wouldnt ever be able to face them.
But there was still a chance, a one in at least sixty chance that hed make it.
Giving a nervous laugh Cloud looked around the large auditorium where the remaining 112 SOLDIER candidates were being kept. The barracks had been filled with the next group of hopefuls. Cloud didnt envy them.
The first ten weeks of basic SOLDIER training had been brutal, hed seen a

The First Meeting.
Sephiroth stood on the outskirts of Midgar, staring out at the ocean. The war was coming to an end, the Wutai had all but surrendered and were now camped up inside their own city limits. He had delegated the tasks to his subordinates to return here. It wasnt exactly against orders, but he needed to be in Midgar right now, those boys needed supervision, he was sure they would make it to the SOLDIER program, any of the main high three ranks to be sure. Leaving them in the care of Shinra wasnt a good idea, he didnt think that they would end up in any necessary condition if they kept hold of them.
Hed heard him approach not too long ago but a pair of boots announced the arrival of a friend.
He turned to Angeal and smiled. Good to see you.
Angeal nodded and smiled himself. Back from the war again whats that, fourth time in a month?
I am interested. Sephiroth muttered. I

The Third Test.
Three weeks it had taken Cloud to break through his rage and every night hed heard the voice telling him to release his past. While thinking on it, it usually meant remembering the bullying he had been victim to, which got him angry and added to his rage.
He sighed as he sat alone one day while the barracks were empty, he began to rifle through his personal possessions to find the pants hed had on when he got here. In the back pocket was a small charm-possibly off a bracelet. Then it hit him, hed already gotten one of them, it was one of the charms that Tifa had worn on her wrist when shed-.
Cloud shook the memory away and reached into his duffel bag. Inside was another-obviously more tarnished. He held the two in his hands, a carving of a Chocobo and a small charm of the symbol of the Nibel Mountains.
Why had she given it him?
Cloud looked up to see a man in a Shinra-issue mail suit walking throu

Cloud landed low on the floor, his wooden practice sword held in defence against the attack that was going to come, since the incident with Jeaezelle and Zacks disappearance Cloud had redoubled his training and in doing so, gotten several of the others in the Barracks to join him, hed made friends with them easily while they worked on their techniques together. He was currently fightin against a guy called Jerickson, he was a good guy, hed come from Corel and wanted to gain the same respect of his town that Cloud wanted.
Deflecting the wooden practice sword Jerickson had, he pushed him back then sent a shoulder charge to his gut. But-as they had been taught-he fought off Clouds wooden point to his neck and started back at him.
SOLDIER training had been the toughest experience Cloud had ever had and it was getting tougher, they had daily training regimes and physicality tests to perform, more than once Cloud had pulled th
Little Miss It“Do you enjoy her company?”
That, Avadaci concluded, had been the extent of his grandfather’s kindness. Thank the stars he had broken his neck after a failed attempt to ascend the castle staircase. Not that many were privy to this information. The official listing on the cause of death involved something along the lines of falling in battle after slaying at least a dozen demons, although this was treated with quite a bit of skepticism by the general populace. Yet, interestingly enough, a decent portion of the locals believed a tale about the cannibals of Unkhtom devouring him whole.
Not that Avadaci really cared how his grandfather had died. He was just glad he was dead. And if he was glad his grandfather had died, Avadaci wondered, why did he have to attend his funeral? In fact, the whole kingdom was glad his grandfather had died. Why did they have to attend the funeral?
“Oh Avad,” proclaimed his mother, “obv
