for info on $-ology.
This is on your head
opening this pandoras box is a horrible thing! lol
Okay, certain things that are important to me.
Freedom of the individual: the right of a person to do things that the law allows.
Understanding things and people: Whether it's a personal viewpoint or a worldview you hold, I won't judge you on in (of course there are exceptions but I doubt anyone I will chat with will cross those boundaries)
Showing respect: Kinda self evident.
(any other things that might interest you, my opinions on things, just message or note me and I'll explain fully)
I'm an open person mostly, there are certain things that I'll keep to myself, just because I like to keep certain aspects of my life private, but for the most part I'm an open book to people.
I hesitate to use the word Atheist
to describe myself, I don't believe there is a God, but I can't prove that one way or the other, anyone who will seriously get to know me will probably hear me say at some point when I describe myself that I'm a "Liberal Secular Humanist"
on face value it doesn't make sense but to sum it up in one sentence.
I respect those who believe in their magical sky daddy, I don't insult them (he says after that phrase) and I will fight FOR their right to believe in whatever they want, while stopping them from curtailing the freedoms of others...it's a headache at times to be honest.
I think it's quite evident that I'm a Brony...but if it's not.
and ain't no one able to prove me wrong.
I'm not into clopping, I don't judge but my tastes are different. And that's all you get for now lol.
I love most all of Sci-Fi
, whatever it is, you can ask me most anything on Trek and I'd be able to tell you freely off the top of my head.
I love the Fantasy Genre, something about it hooked me and hasn't let got since I picked up the hobbit for the first time in the highschool library.
Strangely enough I love History and especially Mythology, I've got books on the Greek, Norse and Mesopotamian myths and I've read them about five times each.
I love Superheroes and pretty much agree with the internet celeb Linkara from Atop The Fourth Wall in saying they're our modern myths and legends.
I used to be a big-time gamer, but I've really slipped in that department, there are very few things I want to buy these days for gaming and even rarer do I look for news about it.
I want to try all kinds of food, I've tasted a heck of a lot of different styles of cooking in my life and want to continue, if I can find a good sushi restaurant, I'd willingly go on my own and try everything on the menu lol. Oh and I SO want to try shellfish, especially crab and Lobster. (btw, after your journal post, I am going to try deep fried insects, they'd better be delish lol)
And most of all, I am a storyteller, there's something inside me that just can think up stories that I build on and expand and it's something I really want to do, even if it just ends up as a hobby.
I've known I've had this since my second year in high school, when my English Teacher asked us to write a ten page story about anything we want, just be creative(I think it was near the end of term). I ended up doing forty pages, set in Star Trek based around crew logs for instance (Luitenant Kal Maclearan, personal log, stardate XXXX.X), chronicling the lives of a family in Starfleet starting from the Kirk Era all the way up to the last family member alive, a young female Commander and the only child of the family, who was on a ship headed towards Wolf 359 and a certain epic battle...yeah, even back then I was dark with my characters lol
And finally, to those who want to know my actual name.
